TODAY’S VISIT

I just got back from Brasa’s Laranjeiras Dojo where I met my physical trainer and friend Itallo Villardo and another friend Rodrigo “Cumprido” Medeiros, who is back from US for a well deserved holiday with family. You’re maybe asking yourself what I was doing in there, once I represent Checkmat but hey, it doesn’t mean I can’t visit my friends often, right?
It was great to catch up with the folks and to have participated of Cumprido’s training session.
Thanks to both, Itallo and Cumprido for the great session.
Cya’ll on Friday at the churrascaria… hehehe

BJJ FRIENDS

Before head back to Malaysia I went to visit some of my very best friends and long time BJJ training partners at GAS Jiu Jitsu. It’s been a while since last time we got together. I’m still not rolling once my knee isn’t 100% yet, anyways it was priceless to catch up with them, talk some shit and exchange some techniques. Feels like the old times… and dam it, I really do miss the oldies! Wouldn’t be prudent to mention all folks’ names coz for sure I would miss someone! However, I will take this opportunity to post some old pics to remember the best times of our lives. Sure everyone misses it! So scroll drown and click to enlarge!

FINALLY GOT BACK IN THE RING!

After exact one month away from training and with lots of rehab sessions on my back to recover my knee from the surgery, yesterday I finally got back in the ring for some sparring with Nobre Arte Team at Delfim Boxe Club.
Conducted by our beloved Master Claudio Coelho, it was a great boxing session as always!
After done with some rounds, I was gassed, with my legs sore but feeling really good!
It was (again) a great learning for sure and the most important: – knee responded 100%!
Was feeling so good that in the evening of same day, I hit the gym again for the Muay Thai class and later did some BJJ drills with friends.
It’s always good to be back in action and I’m feeling almost good to roll again!
Oh yeah, I love this shit!
